Fabdraw was established by Norman Dunbar in September 2001.  This young company has rapidly earned a well deserved reputation for providing an excellent service to the structural steelwork and cladding industries.

Fabdraw has built up an impressive client base, working with a wide range of steel fabricators and cladding contractors throughout Ireland, United Kingdom and Europe.  The Company has successfully completed hundreds of projects, large and small, including contracts in Australia, Canada and the United States of America.

We consider ourselves to be part of a team, working with our clients to achieve a common goal, and we are continually striving for ways to ensure that our clients get the standard of service and professionalism that is required to enable them to compete in today’s marketplace.

Fabdraw work very closely with the client design team during all stages of the project ensuring that all details are taken into account and that the whole project from design through fabrication and erection, is carried out efficiently and competitively, and above all, as scheduled.

All our work is carried out at spacious and well planned offices in Portglenone and with high speed internet and e-mail access available to all of our workstations, we can quickly and easily send drawings to any location worldwide, and in a format that can be opened and viewed in any CAD system that our client may be currently using.

Fabdraw offer a full estimating and detailing services for the structural steelwork and cladding industry.  All work is carried out on the latest, high specification, custom built computers, utilizing Strucad’s 3D modelling software.  With this advanced technology we can produce highly accurate fabrication and erection drawings for workshop and site use, and we can also provide automatically generated ordering lists, cutting lists and bolt lists, as well as producing any CNC files that clients may require for their plating machines or saw and drill lines.

With many of our customers being small to medium sized fabricators, who have little or no in-house drawing resources, we often find ourselves carrying out a wide range of services.  This will often start at estimating stage where we can provide preliminary material lists and wire frame models to assist a client with pricing, or indeed provide them with a full quotation for the supply, delivery and erection of the structural steelwork, cladding and associated items, all in accordance with the client’s own pricing mechanism.

Fabdraw will also carry out detailed site surveys, attend site meeting, liase with architects and engineers, and help prepare re-measurements, valuations and final accounts.  If required, we can provide clients with a full project management service, leaving them with more time to look after the fabrication and erection activities of the project.

For larger fabricators who already have their own in-house drawing offices, FABDRAW are the ideal choice for acting as an extension to their office, providing an outlet for any overflow work that might arise.

Our aim is to provide our clients with the most economic and effective solutions available for their structural detailing requirements and to continuously improve our own systems and our own in-house quality training and development programme.  We are committed to continued investment in Human Resources and in the acquisition of the latest hardware and software, to ensure that we continue to lead the field in our industry.
