Our client is the UK division of a major European steel manufacturing & trading group. At this highly exciting stage in their development they require a Commercial Manager to take responsibility for all the aspects of the UK office administration and commercial functions.

Reporting into senior management you will be responsible for running the UK commercial function encompassing production, administration, shipping credit and service. This will involve negotiation between the steel mill and customers on market offers, prices, tonnage allocations and the preparation of market and research reports.

It is essential therefore that you have a strong commercial background ideally within the steel industry. Experience or exposure to steel importing and stockholding businesses would be particularly beneficial.

Essentially this role requires a team leader with the ability to develop, grow and sustain a business in a highly competitive and vibrant market place.
