Job description
An Estimator is required to be based in the Warwickshire area.
Rate: £17.00 per hour depending on experience
Duration: 1-2 months possibly longer
The successful candidate with be able to demonstrate competence in Estimating projects valued between £200k and £3 million
Requirements
- Degree Qualified ideally in a relevant technical/engineering discipline
- Experience within steel, commercial, industrial projects
- Conquest experience essential

Job description
THE COMPANY:
* A fabricator and erector of Structural Steel supplying into the construction market.
* They are a well respected privately owned regional business with no financial exposure.
* They work with a variety of contractors and end clients.
THE ROLE:
* As Estimator you will be tasked with pricing future projects to, alongside the bid manager, provide future work for the organisation.
* You will be taking projects from initial enquiry, liaising with potential clients and ensuring a smooth transition to order stage.
* You will also play a part in tendering for work, operating in partnership with the business development team and helping prepare tender documents.
THE REQUIREMENTS:
* You will be an experienced and accomplished estimator, with at least three years experience in a steel estimating department.
* You MUST have worked for a Structural Steel fabricator and must have an excellent grasp of processes and procedures.
* The ideal candidate will be confident working with StruCAD, X-Steel or similar automated estimating packages.
* The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a number of successful and challenging projects they helped secure.
* Experience in estimating Kingspan or similar cladding systems would also be an advantage.

Job description
Our client, a very well established business has a vacancy for a Estimator/Planner. You will be communicating with customers to develop new and existing partnerships, liaise with clients to ascertain their requirements and produce quotes accordingly, maintain regular contact with customers to ensure any alterations to the estimate are accounted for at the earliest opportunity, obtain feedback from customers regarding quotes that have been submitted. You will also ensure the necessary level of conversion of quotes to orders to keep project engineers busy running contracts. You will need experience in quoting for contracts, experience in steel fabrication and working under standard terms conditions. You will need to be educated to degree level and have structural or mechanical degree HND qualified or equivalent.
