Our client is a global leader in the field of structural engineering and due to expansion in the UK they are looking to appoint a high calibre Contracts/ Project Manager with structural steel experience.

THE ROLE

Projects recently won require an excellent Contracts Manager from within the Structural Steel sector. You will be looking after a project which will be a minimum of £1m of Structural Steel. The types of projects undertaken include the following:

• Stadia
• Shopping Centres
• Industrial Buildings
• Residential & Hotels
• Commercial Offices
• Bridges
• Hospitals
• Education
• Warehouses & Distribution
• Car Parks
• Leisure

You will have full autonomy and will be responsible for the project finishing on time, budget and profitability. You will possess excellent planning and communication skills and will have experience running multiple projects at any one time. At present, you will be working for a Multi £million turnover Structural Steel business and have a proven track record of delivering profitable

Your role is to communicate with the Drawing Office, Fabrication, Site and The Client ensure the project is built to correct quality and safety standards while also ensuring the project is profitable and you obtain repeat business.

Our client is one of the largest and most profitable metalwork companies in the UK and due to expansion are now looking for a Contracts/Project Managers to, liaise with and manage the different disciplines to ensure the smooth running of projects from identification of the site through to sales.

The successful candidate will have experience in Structural and architectural steel and metalwork, and would have been involved in large projects where the emphasis have been on architectural metal packages.

All work is throughout the South East & London with Salaries ranging from £40,000 - £50,000 + and Car allowance. 

 

Reporting to the IT Director our Global client is seeking a demonstrable IT specialist. This role involves extensive global travel and your ability to get to Derbyshire area. Our client is a recongised manufacturing raw materials so a background in steel, gas, oil, chemical enviroments is a distinct advantage.

Key Accountabilities
ć Managing the level 3 Global Support for the Halo solution.

ƒn Main escalation point and/or interface of the Global Halo team with the Halo sites post implementation.

ƒn Managing the testing process for all new versions of Halo prior to release.

ƒn Managing the release of new versions of Halo to all sites.

ƒn Defining and delivering the technical documentation for the Halo solution.

ƒn Providing on-site technical assistance to support the upgrade / implementation of Halo.


ƒn Proactively monitoring / auditing the use of Halo by the sites ensuring consistency and sharing new ideas and/or improvements to working practices.

ƒn Providing and/or validating technical specifications for new requests which will be passed to the development team.


ƒn Management of specific Halo / Manufacturing related projects.


ƒn Key member of the Halo release development cycle helping to define what should be included in each realease in conjunction with the Halo Technical Architect


Knowledge/Experience/Skills Needed:
(To successfully perform the job to fully acceptable standards)
ƒn demonstrable experience implementing and supporting ERP systems in a manufacturing environment.
ƒn Knowledge of Manufacturing processes and/or IT Systems a distinct advantage.
ƒn full software development life cycle experience.
ć working with SQL queries.
ƒn Flexibility to travel on a regular basis (typically 2 weeks out of every 4).
ƒn Excellent written & verbal communications skills.
ƒn A good working knowledge of Windows based packages such as MS Office, Lotus Notes.
ƒn A good working knowledge of PC networks, LAN, WAN etc.

The successful applicant to the post of Project Manager will manage international projects from inception to completion; developing strong client relationships and ensuring all projects are delivered and completed on time.

The Role:

Our client is an expanding engineering and construction firm within the steel fabrication sector. They are currently looking to recruit experienced Project Manager to contribute to the sales process across Europe. Candidates will have a successful track record in civil engineering, specifically within bridge design and construction.

If successful you will utilise expert shipping knowledge within exports and project management skills to deliver the requirements of the contract as negotiated by the sales team. Candidates with Incoterms will be at an advantage.

The Candidate:

• Essential:
Previous project experience within export delivery.
Educated to degree level in an Engineering subject.
• Desirable:
Subcontract management experience

Site Manager / Project Manager / Site Agent

Ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate considerable depth of experience in the planning, management and construction of large and complex steel framed structures. This experience will have been gained primarily in either the Civils or Rail sectors of the construction industry at a management level.

Qualifications and Skills.
Construction site manager CSCS card to Platinum level or above.
CITB Site Management Safety Training Scheme qualification.
Appointed Person - Lifting Operations (CPCS category A61)
First Aid – 4 day.
Educated to degree level or equivalent, numerate and literate
IT skills: Literacy in MS word, Excel and Project.
Good verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
Driving Licence.
 

Great opportunity for long term contract, circa 6 months, to cover several sites across the UK working for a specialist sub-contractor.

To be considered for this role you must meet the following requirements:
CSCS card
SMSTS qualification
CPCS Appointed persons for lifting operations
Experience of pre cast concrete and steel erection
Track record in managing between 20-25 people
Computer literate to send/receive emails, complete site records and excel spreadsheets

My client are a structural fabricators. Based in the West Midlands they are looking for a Manager.
The ideal candidate must have:
-A good knowledge of structural steelwork and manufacturing processes.

-Show a hands on leadership approach.
-Control and develop all Quality and Health & Safety practices.

Ideally you must:
-Be from within the steel industry.
-Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
-Be able to organise production schedules.
-Have strong customer care skills.
-Hold a current UK Driving licence.

This key role is responsible to the Associate Director (Structures) for running a small team of Tekla (XSteel) CAD technicians. They will be responsible for managing production of 3D models, manufacturing drawings and schedules for steel framed buildings.

Other duties will include reporting resource and program status and liaison with Clients, Engineers, Architects and other internal departments to provide the necessary technical information for production and erection.

In addition the role will be responsible for programming the engineering workload and maintaining operational project budgets. It will also be responsible for managing and maintaining change control systems and implementing the Company Quality Assurance systems.

They will provide mentoring and technical assistance to junior members and assist with training of Bourne Engineering staff.

You will be assertive, and able to bring about change through persuasion. Must be self-motivated, able to work on your own or in a team with good communication skills and be pc literate with experience of 3D structural drawing packages, MS Word & Excel.

You must be familiar with working to British Standard 5950 frame design, detailed design of simple / moment connections.

You should preferably have at least 5 years Structural Steelwork experience in a senior position. You should also have a good all round construction knowledge relevant to the post.
